17 In this edition, the awards have gone to the designer and the Pati Andreu World company.

The jury, composed by Pepe Cortes, Carmen Llopis, Juan Llovet, Josep M ª Massana, Lluís Morón, Massimo Pitis, Elisa Sainz and Elizabeth Roig, decided to award the following prizes:

National Design Award 2007 A DESIGNER Pati for its flawless trajectory, the formal elegance of their projects, courage and generosity, and his ability to get involved in each project in a very personal way, causing visual readings full of sensuality and poetry.

NATIONAL DESIGN AWARD 2007 TO THE COMPANY ANDREU WORLD, overall consistency in the use of design as a business strategy, successfully integrating the various disciplines of design, and its work to create opportunities for new talent and to disseminate design culture.

The jury also noted the high level of achievement of English design and the difficulty involved in choosing the winners. The

National Design Awards, in an honorary capacity are the highest award being given in English territory designers that stand out for their professional work and companies that successfully use design in their innovation strategy.

The main objectives of the National Design Awards are to extend, strengthen and promote the culture of design, to promote design in all its aspects, highlighting the exemplary manifestations of the relationship between design and business side and its cultural impact and social other, and carry out educational work for the proper appreciation and understanding of design by society in general. Pati was born in Figueres, 25 March 1959.
Between 1976 and 1978 he studied graphic design at the Escuela Eina de Barcelona. Initiated studies completed various collaborations with studios and advertising agencies. In 1985 he opened his own company, specializing in ASSOCIATS Pati Corporate Image, Product Image and Graphic Communication Campaigns. Pati
his team has moved its conception of design as a powerful communication tool. All their designs are based on a concept which is developing a game graph, a line of communication enduring commitment to ensuring the increased longevity in the graphic style.
Among others, Pati has worked for clients such as Vinçon, System Action, Cocoa Sampaka and Garriga Verda. A level of packaging is the author, together with his team of "La Joya" Sampaka Cocoa and oil bottle Olei Floris. The designer is also responsible for designing the image of fragrances as well known as Agua de Loewe and Armand Bassi.
His work over these years and has won ten awards Laus of Design, the first one in 1983 for the design of the overall image Vinçon with Fernando Amat, Sanchez Mariscal and America. Last year he was awarded the National Cultural Prize awarded by the Generalitat de Catalunya. Pati
has taught Graphic Design Projects EINA School of Barcelona (1983-1999), has given numerous lectures and workshops in design schools and universities and between 2002 and 2003 was part of the Advisory Committee of the Istituto Europeo di Design.

ANDREU WORLD, SA.
Valencia Founded in 1955.
Andreu World was founded by a young Francis Andreu, as a small workshop cabinet, soon began to grow and express their interest in making cutting-edge models of chairs. Andreu soon became a medium sized company. In 1962, first go to the International Fair of Valencia with its own stand.
In the eighties came the industrial designers and graphics, to update the corporate identity and corporate communications. The company became Andreu World, renamed at the beginning of exports. · LLUÍS MORON: Perito commercial. Signes founder Imatge i Comunicació, a company specializing in the implementation of corporate identity and signage. In 2003 she created the Foundation Signes (private, independent, nonprofit) that aims to promote and develop the design, support design students and new designers.
professor Massimo Pitis: Creative Director for Landor Associates since 2002, is a designer and consultant for agencies and both private and public companies. Visual Communication lectured at the Polytechnic of Milan, as well as Tools and Techniques in Graphic Design at the University of La Sapienza in Rome.
