Creating an Interdepartmental Commission for the coordination and care of people with ASD in Valencia

The May 14, 2010 we inform on our website unanimous approval in the Valencian Parliament of NLP Popular Group on Autism Valencia. ASPAU, like other entities, held talks with all parliamentary groups in Les Corts necessary to translate what was this parliamentary initiative, especially with Mrs. Esther Franco Popular Party, gaining unanimous approval from all of the House, which you can check HERE. At paragraph 3, provided:

3 - Ask the Consell to proceed with the creation of a multidisciplinary and intersectoral Commission, formed by the Department of Social Welfare, Labor, Education and Health, as well as professional associations for the study analysis and recommendations on autism in Valencia.

On 15 February, autism associations in the Valencian Community have received the draft decree approving the creation of this commission and giving us a notification procedure for submitting claims.

yesterday, ASPAU presented theirs. Have been recorded in the first place and those suggested by the Confederation APACV Autism Spain and Alicante, as well as APNAV Association, giving a strong image of cohesion and unity. We have also expanded and introduced new arguments, which we considered of great interest to everyone.

Now we only have to wait the Valencian Government, to accept most claims agreed by representatives of the Associations, all of them motivated and well reasoned, that the said Commission to start working as soon as possible and Most importantly, that its operation is effective and positive impact thus enabling an improvement in the quality of life of people with ASD and their families. If so, will mean an historic step in the Valencian Community, and we will not miss the opportunity or hope of succeeding

is for us a source of satisfaction to have contributed to this major step . We wish here to publicly thank the Confederation Autism Spain and especially its Vice-President, M. Carmen López Revuelta (APACV) for assistance, coordination and teamwork that has made possible the reasons for the allegations, which we helped with all our efforts and with the aim of improving the final text as possible.
